About RaidLight

RaidLight was founded in 1999 by Benoit Laval, a French trail and ultra runner. Like so many other start-ups, it all began with an idea, a garage and a lot of enthusiasm. In 2010, Vertical, a French manufacturer of mountain and alpine equipment, was acquired to share resources and expertise. Vertical is known for MP+, a hydrophilic and breathable membrane, which has consequently found its way into various RaidLight products.

RaidLight has been part of the Rossignol Group since 2016, but regained its independence in August 2020 under the leadership of Benoit Laval. A team of around 20 employees now works on innovative and functional products in the so-called Outdoor Lab, in the heart of the Chartreuse massif.
